A woman has made it her mission to expose the “stupidity” of men by creating a fake profile to reverse catfish men on Hinge.
Tasha Yiann documented the process on her TikTok page, explaining that she was asked to create a fake profile after being so disappointed with her own dates.
“I’m reverse catfisherman on Hinge,” she explained.
“The photos on my profile are mine but the personality is not mine.
“I’m a nihilistic existentialist but the girl in the profile is a super cool, super cool girl who doesn’t take herself too seriously.”
While the profile she put up is “massively ironic”, Tasha added that “most men are dumb and are unable to detect irony which is quite obvious”.
In fact, the fake profile has drawn so much male attention to the app that every day she wakes up with “hundreds of matches.”
“I’ve been on dating apps for eight years as myself – no one has ever answered me like that,” she sighed.
“Nobody cares what I have to say. This stupid character that I created – they want to date her.
“I know we’re all kidding when we say men just want a dumb girl to follow them, but apparently they do.
“They want a girl who literally has nothing on her mind. I have proof, it’s not my opinions.
“There’s no way anyone would make a profile like mine and it would be real.
“There is no woman on earth who is so dumb, stupid or vulnerable. Honestly, I’m at a loss for words.
She then showed some of the messages she received from men – most of whom responded by asking if there was anything odd about her profile.
Now she plans to take her experience to the next level.
“I’m going to create two different characters – one of them will be the kind of girl who needs a lot of help, who’s quite vulnerable, who needs a big, strong man,” she explained. .
“And the other character is going to be a pretty brave, strong woman who doesn’t need any help and considers herself as strong as a man.
“And I’m going to document all the interactions and conversations and we’re going to watch how quickly each character is asked on a date, how the men treat her, how the men talk to her, their use of language.
“To the extent that if it really gets big, and I get followers and likes and people watch it, I’ll go on dates and get on the mic and record how I’m treated on dates, where men take me and see — I’m going to see, I want to know.
“I want to know what’s going on and why is everyone having such a bad time dating and why men treat women so badly.”
She was quickly praised by other women for setting up the experiment.
“It will be fascinating!” we wrote. “Dating is a nightmare. Some men are really vile.
“Ahahah just came across your profile! You are awesome,” added another.
However, one man fired back, writing, “Are you serious your profile is like 90% of other women do lol.”
To which Tasha replied, “I have already asked male friends, roommates and family to look at what I am doing wrong and all have said my dating profiles are fine.
“Of no interest.”
