Deontay Wilder told Tyson Fury: “I don’t respect you”, the day after his KO loss on Saturday night.
The “Gypsy King” and the “Bronze Bomber” produced a legendary battle for the ages as they were both taken down twice before Fury won by KO in the 11th round.
Before the fight, there was a lot of bitterness between them as Wilder believed Fury had cheated the last time they met.
Despite this, the ‘Gypsy King’ approached him to show him respect after the knockout.
He then told BT Sport: “I said, ‘Nice done, mate,’ and he said, ‘I don’t want to show sportsmanship or respect.’ I said, ‘No problem. ‘
“Very surprised. Bad loser. Idiot.”
Video footage has now emerged of the exact moment this happened.
Fury can be seen approaching Wilder as he sits on his stool.
As the Briton tries to show respect, the American can be heard saying ‘No love’ and ‘I don’t respect you’.
Wilder’s coach Malik Scott explained his man’s reaction.
He told ESNews in response: “Deontay, obviously, he sees Fury as a man he had serious issues with regarding certain allegations and certain things that he had seen with his own eyes.
“Tonight, after releasing all that energy, he was still feeling what he was feeling.”
