Hunter Laptop Repairman Sues CNN, Politco, Rep. Schiff for defamation

Hunter laptop repairman John Paul Mac Isaac sued CNN, Policythe Daily Beast and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for libel on Tuesday.

Mac Isaac told the New York Post the congressman and establishment media falsely accused him of trafficking Russian disinformation during the 2020 presidential campaign.

The lawsuit allegedly claims that “CNN’s broadcast of the false statement accuses the plaintiff of having committed an infamous crime, that is, treason by working with the Russians to commit a crime against the United States of America. attempting to undermine American democracy and the 2020 presidential election.”

Mac Isaac’s accusations will play out in court, but on several occasions he has been the main talking point on the left. For example, CNN’s Brian Stelter falsely referred to Hunter’s laptop as “Russian disinformation” and suggested that the contents of the laptop may have been “made up”. In March, Stelter refused to return to this journalist the false allegations he promoted in his program.
