Hundreds rally in downtown Chicago to demand tougher gun laws

CHICAGO (SCS) — Hundreds of people gathered at the Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago on Saturday, demanding tougher gun laws.

March for Our Lives protesters came out in force, calling for things like a ban on assault weapons and universal background checks.

Many of the speakers were teenagers and young adults who say Congressional inaction is killing Americans.

March for Our Lives says rallies were planned in 400 cities across the country, including events in Downers Grove, Palatine, Elgin and Saint Charles.
