Hundreds of migrants cross the border in the overwhelmed border sector of Texas
Hundreds of migrants continue to cross the border in an overwhelmed Texas border area near Eagle Pass, Texas. At one crossing, only two Border Patrol agents were on hand to process more than 100 migrants.
A group of more than 100 migrants crossed the Rio Grande from Mexico to Texas. A Fox News crew captured video of the migrants walking to a Texas border fence gate.
BREAKING: Another massive group of over 100 people is illegally crossing Eagle Pass, TX right now. There are only 2 border patrol agents overwhelmed here right now with the TX National Guard. I asked the group where they came from? Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia. @FoxNews pic.twitter.com/qw3PmWPdIM

Fox News’ Bill Melugin reported that there were only two Border Patrol agents when the group crossed. Texas National Guard soldiers deployed on Operation Lone Star stood ready to help. Melugin said the group identified themselves as Colombian, Cuban and Venezuelan citizens.
There are still more to come. These massive groups are a huge drain on Border Patrol resources. Several agents will have to come to treat. This will leave other parts of the border unguarded, and that’s where the cartel will smuggle drugs and criminals. @FoxNews pic.twitter.com/LBI5a8QUGQ

The two-year-old carried a note with instructions to contact her mother in Dallas, Texas. Melugin said the mother acted nonchalantly and expected the US government to bring her daughter to her.

It was one of many groups that crossed the border in the past 24 hours. On Wednesday evening, Melugin tweeted another video showing a group of more than 110 migrants crossing illegally. Another 150 people passed through the same area earlier in the day, he said.
