How to watch the 2022 National Memorial Day concert: Full list of performers


Watching the National Memorial Day concert is an American tradition that has been an annual event for more than three decades.

The Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 30, is held to honor all U.S. service members, including those lost in action. However, there will be other Memorial Day events earlier in the long weekend.

Actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise are set to co-host the 2022 National Memorial Day concert on Sunday, May 29, which will feature some well-known faces. It can be streamed live at 8 p.m. ET on the PBS website here. The event will end around 9:30 p.m.

The free concert takes place in front of the United States Capitol in Washington, DC

Brian StokesMitchell

The Broadway singer and lead actor will project his distinct baritone at the event on Sunday.

Craig Morgan

The American country singer-songwriter is a veteran himself and will be playing his acoustic guitar at the concert.

Denis Haysbert

The actor and producer, known for his role in the television series 24, will join the lineup on Sunday.

Gary Sinis

The award-winning actor, whose film credits include Forrest Gump, Of mice and Men and The green Line, will be one of the hosts of the event.

Gil Birmingham

Birmingham is known for playing its part in the popular Dusk saga, also playing television roles in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and banshee.

John Smart

The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress is best known for her roles in design women, garden condition, watchmenand more recently hacks.

Joe Mantegna

Emmy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise and Tony Award-winning Joe Mantegna host the 2021 National Memorial Day Concert in Washington, DC. The National Memorial Day concert will air on May 30, 2021.

The Tallahassee-born actor has appeared on Broadway, as well as a number of TV shows and movies, including Spike Lee’s Da Five Bloods and the ABC drama Scandal.

Pia Toscano

Hailing from New York, Toscano is known for her performances on American idol. On the 2011 edition of the show, she came in ninth, which shocked some people who thought she might have won the contest.

Rhiannon Giddens

The Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist is known for her unique blend of blues and country music. She sings and plays the violin, banjo and viola.

There will also be performances at the Military District of Washington concert; the US Army Herald trumpets; the US Army Chorus; the Sea Chanters of the US Navy Band; US Air Force singing sergeants; and the United States Army Band Soldiers Chorus.
