How the Saudis can help

The main argument used by Hamas and its sympathizers to justify attacks on Israel is that Jews are colonialists wherever they live in Israel, including in the communities near Gaza that terrorists attacked this month. But this is not the only view in the Arab world. A more sympathetic position was expressed in the period before the Abraham Accords, when Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifathen Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, declared that “Israel is historically part of the heritage of this entire region” and that “the Jewish people have their place among us.”

There is ample evidence that this view is correct. Jews originated in Israel, as historical, archaeological, linguistic and genetic evidence shows. Jews are genetically closely related to Palestinian Arabs, many of whom are descended from Jewish converts to Islam, as well as to Saudis. Those of us who work on genetic diseases constantly see evidence of this relationship.
