Update:

(WDTN) – Clipping coupons on your smartphone have become a staple for shoppers, especially those who want to save a few cents or dollars while shopping at Kroger. For many, however, it has become stressful to see a price listed on the shelf and not have access to the discount.

Kroger is expanding the use of digital coupons to all Kroger shoppers. Buyers who may not have a smartphone or internet access will be able to take advantage of the offers.

2 NEWS has contacted Kroger about the extended change. The Cincinnati-based grocery store said anyone who wants to save money but doesn’t have a digital account can simply visit the customer service desk to request the discounts.

“Customers who wish to take advantage of digital coupons and who do not have a digital account can benefit from the reduced prices at any customer service desk. Customers without a digital account also have access to many other advantages when shopping with Kroger, including fuel rewards and additional ways to save.

The expansion comes just weeks after Kroger announced it would withdraw its weekly grocery specials in the printed newspapers, explaining by Twitter that the decision was due to the fact that many of its partners were “reducing or eliminating the physical distribution of their newspapers”. Kroger’s weekly announcements can now be found online or on its app.
