House price growth accelerated in February

Home price growth accelerated in February as demand remained strong and a shortage of supply limited the volume of home sales.

The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, which measures average home prices in major metropolitan areas across the country, rose 19.8% in the year ending February, against an annual rate of 19.1% the previous month. February marked the highest annual rate of price growth since August.
