Hong Kong stocks fall 0.6%, following losses in regional markets

01:39 GMT — Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 0.6% to 17,198.82, tracking losses in regional stock markets. The main theme has been risk aversion, Commerzbank analysts say in a research report, citing heightened geopolitical risks and comments from Fed Chairman Powell that the U.S. central bank is open to further hikes rate. Among the worst performers in the benchmark index, ENN Energy fell 3.7%, Xinyi Solar loses 3.3% and Lining is down 3.7%. The Hang Seng Technology Index was down 0.4% at 3685.23.
