Insurers could be hit by $ 20 billion to $ 30 billion by Hurricane Ida report

AIR said it updated its estimates of insured losses after analyzing the impacts of inland flooding on the path of Hurricane Ida, including in the northeastern states. AIR previously estimated insured losses, including wind and storm surges, to be between $ 17 billion and $ 25 billion from the deadly hurricane. The estimates include losses suffered by residential, commercial, industrial and automobile properties on land for their construction, content and coverage of temporal elements, AIR said.
