High-tech Easter egg hunt in Vernon

VERNON, CT (WFSB) – Families will have just enough time Thursday night to go on an Easter egg hunt in Vernon before the storms hit the town.

The weather is nice and sunny at the moment.

The Henry Park Easter Egg Hunt isn’t the version we had as kids.

There will be drones flying around to drop treats, so you’ll need to keep your head on a swivel.

Students in Rockville High School’s agricultural science and technology program have been working on egg delivery drones since March.

Weather is on hold and strong winds can cancel drones.

The Easter egg hunt starts at 5:30 p.m. for children aged 2 to 8. The final hunt begins at 6:15 p.m. for 8-year-olds.

People must bring their own basket of eggs.
