Hezbollah launches rocket attack on Israeli airbase – POLITICO

Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets at an Israeli military base in the country’s northern region on Sunday, as Israel and the militant group continued to exchange fire amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The militant group said the attack, which targeted the Ramat David air base near the northern city of Haifa, was “a response to repeated Israeli attacks that have targeted various Lebanese regions and led to the fall of numerous civilian martyrs,” the Associated Press reported.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on social media that “large areas of northern Israel are being targeted by Hezbollah rockets.” It is unclear whether there were any casualties.
