Helldivers 2 Stealth Drops New Ship Upgrades — and Some of Them Sound Amazing

Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead has quietly dropped new ship upgrades alongside the new Premium Warbond, Democratic Detonation.

Six new ship upgrades are now available in the PlayStation 5 and PC third-person shooter, one for each section of the ship module.

Helldivers 2 new ship modules:

  • Superior packaging methodology: Resupply boxes fill support weapons with the maximum number of transportable magazines.
  • Atmospheric monitoring: HE Orbital Barrage spread reduced by 15%.
  • XXL Weapon Bay: Eagle Stratagems that drop multiple bombs will drop one or more additional bombs.
  • Improved combustion: Fire damage from Stratagems has been increased by 25%.
  • Extension of the circuit: Lightning arcs, fired from weapons and turrets, jump to an additional enemy.
  • Absorption of explosions: Sentries take 50% less damage from explosions.

Here, let’s look at the details and offer some initial thoughts. 15% less spread on play-offs might convince some players to give them another chance (they are considered weak in the current meta because they are not focused). A superior packing methodology can prove essential for players who use the recoilless and lance support weapons. And the improved combustion will cause all kinds of chaos with the already improved flamethrower. Expanding the circuit also looks like it could be fun.

These new ship upgrades require each module’s previous upgrade to already be unlocked before you can purchase them with samples, so only clips who have mixed up their ship upgrades and have many samples under the hand will be able to test them immediately. For everyone else, the work continues.

Arrowhead has a habit of releasing new content for Helldivers 2 without informing players. He secretly introduced a number of new enemies into the game, allowing players to discover them for themselves. Now the same goes for ship upgrades. This one isn’t really a surprise, though, given that Arrowhead announced that new ship upgrades were on the way in the most user-friendly way possible after a bug knocked the lid off.
