Heat Advisory continues with new record high for Seattle – KIRO 7 News Seattle

WESTERN WASHINGTON — For most of us in Western Washington, the peak of the heat will be Tuesday, with a forecast high temperature in Seattle of 96 degrees, which also sets a new daily heat record.

There will be nearly 100 near the Cascades south of I-90 and in southern locations like Olympia, Lewis County and Shelton.

It will be between 105 and 110 degrees in parts of central Washington.

The heat advisory has been extended through Wednesday for all of western Washington with excessive heat warnings east of the Cascades.

On the beaches, the Pacific land cooling flow will start on Tuesday.

The heat is expected to ease in the interior of western Washington on Wednesday, although Seattle’s forecast high of 88 degrees is still about 10 degrees warmer than average.

We’ll return to the upper 70s to low 80s Thursday and Friday before a modest warming to the mid 80s in Seattle next weekend.
