Heart attack may have caused shipwreck: MCSO

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to a wreck in Lacey’s Spring on Thursday morning.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to a vehicle wreck near Lipscomb Circle on Highway 231.

Officials said the driver may have had a heart attack and a deputy used the automated external defibrillator. There is no word at this time on the condition of the man.

The sheriff’s office is asking drivers to exercise caution in the area at this time as other law enforcement is on the scene.
