Argentina entered the game against Le Tricolor on November 26 knowing a win was vital as they lost their FIFA World Cup opener 2-1 to Saudi Arabia.
Everyone was stunned by La Albiceleste’s poor performance in the first half, with many criticizing Lionel Messi’s display.
However, the Argentinian icon took the game by the scruff of the neck and fired an incredible 64th-minute goal to send his side on their way to victory.
Impressive youngster Enzo Fernandez clinched Argentina’s second in the 87th minute but it was yet another night when Lionel Messi made headlines.
The win was vital for Argentina as it lifted them into second place, one point behind group leaders Poland, who they will face in their final group match on November 30.
Grealish was interviewed ahead of England’s clash with Wales on November 29 and was among those mesmerized by Messi.
He told talkSPORT:
“I watch every game to be honest. We have screens everywhere and it’s nice to have games all day. I watched Messi, amazing. He just showed what he’s talking about in that second half. time, but again, Mbappe did it too.

The pressure had mounted on Argentina after their shocking loss to Saudi Arabia.

If Scaloni’s men beat Poland, they will qualify as Group C winners for the FIFA World Cup Round of 16.
