Harvey Elliott faces rude surprise after being mobbed by Liverpool fans during wild celebration

Harvey Elliott was mobbed by traveling Liverpool fans after jumping over Wolves’ barriers to celebrate his side’s third goal.
But little did Elliott know, his shot had been deflected to prevent him going wide, and was ultimately scored as an own goal by Hugo Bueno.

Liverpool fell behind but overturned a dismal first half to win 3-1, with Elliott’s effort finishing the job in injury time.
The England international found himself on the end of a brilliant low cross from Mohamed Salah as the game wore on for 90 minutes, sending the away side crazy.
“Elliott hits like an arrow,” said Martin Keown, ex-Arsenal star and talkSPORT commentator for the match. “A very good shot.”
Elliott was shown a yellow card after breaking through barriers around the pitch to embrace celebrating Liverpool fans outside.

The midfielder went berserk in front of the cheering traveling fans, soaking in what he thought was his first goal of the season.
However, although the 20-year-old thought he had now scored at Molineux in consecutive seasons, it was actually ruled as an own goal following Bueno’s deflection from Wolves.
Goals from Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson to cancel out Hwang Hee-chan’s opener, however, mean Liverpool come away with all three points.
The win puts the Reds top of the league, overtaking Man City who are in action against West Ham this afternoon.
