Harry Kane becomes Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with Spurs’ 267th goal against Man City

Arry Kane became Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer with his 267th Spurs goal in their Premier League game against Manchester City.

Kane passed Jimmy Greaves to reach the landmark with the opener of Sunday’s game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 29-year-old put Spurs ahead after 15 minutes when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg intercepted a loose pass from just outside the box and squared it into the bottom corner.

Kane also became the third player to score 200 Premier League goals, after Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.

He made his debut for Spurs in 2011 and his 267 goals have come in 415 appearances for the club.

Greaves scored 266 goals in 379 games for Tottenham between 1961 and 1970. He actually scored 268 times for Spurs, but two goals against Ipswich in the 1962 Charity Shield were not included in Tottenham’s record book .

They remain on the English National Football Archive database but Spurs do not recognize the Charity Shield, now known as the Community Shield, as a competitive game.

Kane has now scored 19 goals in 30 games for Spurs this season.
