Paramount+ has announced that the prequel series is now titled 1923, and will focus on the impact of World War I and the beginning of the prohibition era. Here’s the official login line, according to Paramount+: “1923 focuses on the next two generations of the Dutton family as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle rustling; all fought under the cloud of the Montana Great Depression, which predated the nation by nearly a decade.”

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will star in Paramount+ 1932, the latest installment in Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan’s hugely popular Western franchise, E! The news confirms.

The series “will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the turn of the 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression afflict the Mountain West and the Duttons who call it home” , according to the streamer.

1932 follows in the footsteps of 1883the Yellowstone prequel series featuring Tim McGraw, hill of faith and Sam Elliot. The first season of 1883, who became the most-watched title in Paramount+ history, ending in February and the show’s creator hinted that it was a one-off story.
