Halo Infinite will soon have a dedicated Slayer playlist

Infinite haloThe multiplayer beta of has been a blast so far, but a common criticism is that you can’t choose a dedicated playlist for Slayer, the game’s deathmatch mode. Fortunately, that will change soon, but not before. next year.

John Junyszek, head of the 343 Industries community tweeted friday that a Social Slayer playlist is in the works, but won’t be ready until after the holidays. Junyszek also said 343 aims to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT) and Free-For-All playlists “before the end of the year”.

Right now, you can’t select a playlist for just one game mode. Instead, you’ve stumbled across one of the currently available modes, which include things like Slayer, Capture The Flag, and Oddball. It can be boring if you just want to play one type of game – especially if you have a challenge that can only be completed in a specific mode – so the next dedicated playlists might help alleviate some of the frustrations.

343 Industries has already made other changes in response to comments since the surprise beta release on November 15. In particular, players were unhappy with the rate at which the Battle Passes progressed, which 343 attempted to change by adding new “Play 1 Game” challenges a few days after launch and, this week alone, dramatically increasing the amount. XP given for the first six games played in a day.

Halo fans don’t just have multiplayer upgrades to look forward to: infinity The single player campaign will launch on December 8. However, you will only be able to start the campaign in single player, as co-op won’t be added until May 2022 at the earliest.
