For date 1 of CONCACAF Group H – Women’s Under 20 2022, the match played this Saturday ended 2-1 in favor of Haiti. The goals of the match for the local team were scored by Valentina Ornis (31′ 1T) and Rose-Alya Marcellus (40′ 1T). While the away goal was made by Yerly Palma (25′ 2T, from a penalty).
A shot by Daniela Villavicencio hit the post 24 minutes into the first half and Cuba lost its chance to take the lead.

For its part, Midel Logal Domínguez’s team came out with a 4-4-2 tactical arrangement with Elika Acea under the three posts; Yerly Palma, Liz Marian, Yelenis Sarria and Dayamis Chinea on defense; Elizabeth Zara, Yesela Castillo, Daniela Villavicencio and María Karla at midfield; and Indira Hechavarria and Sabrina Bahamonte up front.
Francia González Martínez was in charge of supervising the order of play during the match.
On the next day, Haiti will face Guatemala as a visitor, while Cuba will play at home against Jamaica.
