“It’s breathtaking, it’s transformative, it’s empowering, you know, it’s so many things,” said Maureen Sedonaen, CEO of the San Francisco chapter.
“We will build 250 affordable homeownership opportunities over the next six years. We will complete 400 essential repairs.”

Habit for Humanity in San Francisco has been present in the region for 30 years. Sedonaen says it’s the biggest investment in the chapter’s history.
The gift is a national effort by Scott. Habitat for Humanity says it invested more than $400 million in the organization which was divided into 85 chapters – San Francisco was one of those chapters.

Sedonaen said it will help them develop the homes they plan to build in Novato and other areas of the Bay Area.
“It allows us to engage and serve thousands of people,” Sedonaen said. “It’s hundreds of families to get them into first-time homeownership, moving people up the pipeline from listing without a home to the rental market and then into homeownership.”
