Gwyneth Paltrow ski accident plaintiff blames actress for three ‘near-death experiences’ after collision

Terry Sanderson has claimed Gwyneth Paltrow was responsible for more than the injuries he suffered on the ski slope in 2016.
During the sixth day of testimony, Sanderson accused the actress of three “near death experiences” after the collision. Sanderson originally sued Paltrow for $3.1 million and claimed he was the victim of a hit-and-run on the slopes of the Deer Valley ski resort in 2016. A judge denied the claim and withdrew the exclusive station and a trial ski instructor before Sanderson sued the lawsuit for $300,000. Paltrow filed a countersuit seeking $1 and attorney’s fees.
Stephen Owens, Paltrow’s attorney, called Sanderson to the stand on Wednesday and referenced three specific instances where the retired optometrist testified to serious medical issues, including an accidental overdose due to medication mix-up.
“You blame Mrs. Paltrow for all these near-death experiences?” Owens asked.
“Yeah, it’s very unusual for me not to make good medical decisions,” Sanderson said.

The 76-year-old outdoorsman had previously suffered a stroke and had limited function in his right eye before the skiing accident. Sanderson claimed Paltrow rammed him and caused him a “permanent traumatic brain injury” in addition to four broken ribs.
The jury heard from two of Sanderson’s three daughters last week. Both Polly Grasham and Shae Herath have testified to the changes they have observed in their father’s personality since the skiing collision.

Sanderson accused the Goop founder of skiing after the accident, which left him with “a permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life,” as well as emotional distress and disfigurement, according to the lawsuit.
