Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have found their “Sweet Escape”.
The two singers celebrated their first wedding anniversary on July 3 by sharing some glimpses of their fairytale wedding on Instagram.
Shelton, 46, posted a cute photo of himself and his wife on the dance floor during the ceremony, captioning the snap: “Happy birthday to the woman who makes my world go round… @gwenstefani, thanks to you, this year has been the best year of my life. I love you!!!! Thank you for saying yes!”
Stefani responded to her husband’s post in the comments, writing, “my dream man – thank God!!! gx. »
The “Hollaback Girl” singer posted her own video montage of the special day to Elvis Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling in Love.” In the 10-second clip, Stefani shared special moments from their Oklahoma wedding, from their first kiss to their first dance.
“1 year later forever,” the 52-year-old captioned the video, tagging Shelton who commented, “Love you! Thanks for saying yes!”
On their big day, the pop star wore a dress by Vera Wang – which featured a white bodice, miniskirt with tulle overlay and full veil – for the ceremony, along with her bold red lipstick. She teamed the extravagant dress with white boots to match their country wedding. Shelton opted for a more classic look in a tailored suit and white bow tie.
The couple began dating shortly after their respective divorces in 2015 after meeting as trainers on “The Voice.”
In July 2015, after four years of marriage, the country star filed for divorce from Miranda Lambert. Then, a few weeks later, Stefani and her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale, announced the end of their marriage.
After dating for five years, Shelton popped the question to Stefani in October 2020 with a massive six- to nine-carat round diamond solitaire.
