GUNTHER wins King of the Ring tournament

Talk about a great fighting feeling.

When Randy Orton and GUNTHER stood across the ring today (Saturday, May 25, 2024) inside the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, King and Queen of the Ring premium live event, they let the moment breathe. The fans created an electric atmosphere for them, with the crowd pulsing with anticipation for what truly felt like a big-money match.

GUNTHER defeated Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso en route to this showdown, while Orton took on AJ Styles, Carmelo Hayes and Tama Tonga. The winner was promised a title shot Summer Slam. This had the added intrigue of being an honor that longtime veteran Orton never experienced during his illustrious career.

He still hasn’t done it.

GUNTHER managed to survive several RKOs, and with Orton nursing a bad knee, GUNTHER took advantage by rolling him up after kicking out the second RKO to score the pinfall and the victory.

A big championship showdown awaits us in a few months.
