Gunman arrested at RFK Jr. campaign event in Los Angeles

An armed man was arrested Friday at a campaign event in Los Angeles for Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr., a Los Angeles police spokesperson confirmed.
The LAPD identified the suspect as Adrian Paul Aispuro, 44. Booking records show Aispuro is being held on a felony charge and a $35,000 bond.
Aispuro allegedly donned shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines and wore a U.S. Marshal’s badge on a federal identification lanyard and belt clip, Kennedy wrote on X, formerly known as from Twitter.
According to Kennedy’s post, the candidate’s private security detained the suspect until the LAPD arrived, after he allegedly attempted to approach Kennedy and pretended to be a member of his security detail.
