Group believed to be behind leaked Cawthorn nude video now ‘fired’ Lauren Boebert

A political action committee that allegedly released a nude video of Madison Cawthorn grinding on a man is now targeting far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

The American Muckrakers PAC (also known as welcomes Cawthorn’s re-election loss on Tuesday. On Thursday, he launched to tick off another politician.

“We helped fire Madison Cawthorn. Now it’s Lauren Boebert’s turn,” reads a message on the site.

The organization is seeking advice on information, photos, videos or documents about Boebert or his associates.

A @FireBoebert tweet posted on Friday mocks us: “Hi Rep. Boebert – Ask Rep Cawthorn about us. We’re waiting impatiently [sic] learn to know you. »

David Wheeler, co-founder of the American Muckrakers, told Business Insider this week that the organization “will go after Lauren Boebert” in a “similar manner” to how it attacked Cawthorn. “I think we’re going to get into this race pretty quickly,” he added.

Wheeler told Insider he’s already received “interesting information” about Boebert, whose primary against GOP state Sen. Don Coram is June 28. The information is “certainly not as salacious as some of Cawthorn’s stuff”, he added, although he did. not reveal details.

Boebert’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from HuffPost.

Wheeler’s PAC also pointed to Cawthorn’s attempt to slip a gun into Asheville Regional Airport last year. He also filed a lawsuit accusing Cawthorn of violating House ethics rules by allegedly offering free housing and gifts to a staff member.

As for the video, Cawthorn said he was “to be rude to a friend, trying to be funny. We were fooling around and joking. That’s it.”

Cawthorn lost the North Carolin GOP primary to Senator Chuck Edwards on Tuesday.

He vowed revenge on “dark maga” against Republicans who had no back in a bitter tweet on Thursday. He did not specify the reprisals, but warned ominously that the days of the enemy Republicans were “numbered”.

He added: “We are coming.”
