Grand Coteau cuts the ribbon for the new police department

The town of Grand Coteau had a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for the opening of its new police building.

The event also served as a celebration of Black History Month and two former residents were also honored.

Former Mayor Mary V. Murray and former Police Chief Margaret Coco were the first women to hold these positions for the city.
