GOP MI Gov. Candidate Tudor Dixon: parents fight back

Parents are battling left-wing gender ideology being pushed into schools as Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) remains silent, Republican candidate for Michigan gubernatorial Tudor Dixon said during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.

Dixon, who will appear at former President Trump’s rally in Michigan on Saturday, said Breitbart News Saturday that Michigan parents are fed up with the radical gender ideology being taught in schools, predicting that the state could see a situation similar to what happened in the Virginia governor’s race, as much of Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R) victory was due to education issues.

Dixon talked about some of the wild situations that happened under Whitmer’s leadership, including the Michigan Department of Education asking teachers to help kids transition and recommending that they hide these things from parents. the child. Whitmer remained silent, but Dixon did not.

“Two members of the Board of Ed came out and called on the state superintendent to resign, and instead the state superintendent doubled down on this radical formation. We have parents across the state who are outraged, and I think you’re right. It’s a very similar situation to Governor Youngkin’s,” she said, explaining that they see parents begging schools to go back to basics.

“In fact, in Dearborn, Michigan, last week there was a rally of 500 to 800 parents who came out and said, ‘We want radical sex and gender theory out of our schools. We don’t agree with what we’re seeing in schools right now,” she said, explaining that they wanted to focus on the basics – reading, writing and math.

“But it was a group of, like I said, 500 to 800 Muslim and Christian parents who got together and came out and said, ‘Enough is enough. Why are we fighting this radical leftist agenda in our schools with our children, as we try to get our children back on track after a terrible crisis that has happened in the state [coronavirus lockdowns] and worse policies than we had seen in other states? “And now Gretchen Whitmer is quiet about it,” she said, noting that the state attorney general also said he thinks there should be a drag queen in every school.

“It’s not an acceptable ideology in our schools, and parents are going to fight back and that’s why I think you’re right,” she said.

“What you saw in Virginia will also be a winning factor here in Michigan.”

Dixon said parents are speaking out more and more, asking to attend press conferences and giving a lot of commentary on the subject. Meanwhile, Whitmer remains silent and allows this to happen.

“The governor came out…and she said she was setting up a parents’ council. Well, she’s never – the Parents’ Council never said anything. She never really met the Parents Council that we could see because on the photos of the Parents Council, she does not appear there. So what does his parent council do? And they’re all liberal activists on his parent council, too,” Dixon said.

“We talk to the real Conservative activists on the ground. Parents who have been working for three years to get children back to school. The parents who were there said: “Let our children play sports”. Let our children go back to class. Parents get the vote. They go door to door. They’re incentivizing those non-traditional midterm voters to go out and vote midterm. They say it’s our children’s future,” Dixon said, predicting that there is “nothing that can move someone more than the thought of their child being manipulated behind their backs.”
