GOP Congresswoman Lauren Boebert Jokes About Biden’s Disappearance at Church Event

US Congressman Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) joked about the disappearance of President Joe Biden at a recent religious event in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

During a speech at the Family Camp Meeting event at the Charis Christian Center, Boebert said she was “praying for our President” while slaying the Bible verse from Psalms 109:8, “Let his days be few; let another take his place as leader.

Instead of saying, “another takes his place as leader,” Boebert joked, “another takes his place as desk,” amid laughter and applause from attendees. Boebert then shouted, “Hallelujah! Glory to God!

An excerpt from the event, which was posted on Twitter by the left-wing platform Patriot Takes, has been viewed more than 930,000 times.

Neither Charis Christian Center nor Lauren Boebert immediately responded to requests for comment from HuffPost on Sunday.

The Republican congresswoman was involved in recent public hearings blundersincluding a recent appearance on Fox News where she said gun control was not effective in preventing future mass shootings because “when 9/11 happened, we didn’t ban the planes”.

“I want our schools to be safe,” she continued. “I want our children to be protected and I want teachers who can protect themselves and their students. And you know what? We can achieve this without trying to disarm law-abiding citizens.

She also criticized companies that are willing to pay their employees’ travel expenses for abortions.

“Anyone else considering that these companies suddenly offering to pay for employee abortions are just doing it to avoid paying for maternity leave?” she wondered about Twitter. “It’s cheaper to kill the baby… real evil personified.”

Boebert is currently under investigation by Colorado officials for manipulating mileage during his 2020 congressional district campaign and using donor payments to repay tax liens attached to his restaurant,” Shooters Grill”, in Rifle, Colorado, according to the New York Times.
