Bookies predict that two returning Premier League strikers will score the most goals this season with Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku expected to star.

Over the past two seasons we’ve seen England forwards Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy get the Golden Shoe, both scoring 23 goals.

These two are of course Ronaldo and Lukaku.

The two enjoyed impressive starts in England and lead their top rivals at bookmakers.

Ronaldo won the Golden Boot with 31 goals in the 2007/08 season and will be eager to do so again this season.

Lukaku has yet to claim the honor but has been superb since returning to Chelsea this summer.

Tottenham star Kane, who has three Golden Boots to his name, is a surprisingly heavy 10/1 to win it again after his summer of transfer speculation.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is apparently the closest challenger to Ronaldo and Lukaku and he has already won the award twice.

Other names in the mix include Vardy again, Ronaldo United teammate Bruno Fernandes, Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton, Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota and new Aston Villa star Danny Ings.
