Major changes are happening for the New York Giants.

They hired former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as head coach and the players already like him better than his predecessor, Joe Judge.

Joe Schoen, who replaced Dave Gettleman as general manager, is also making the jump from Buffalo to Big Blue.

Schoen showed his front office prowess by signing defensive end Kayvon Thibodeau, offensive tackle Evan Neal and receiver Wan’Dale Robinson.

The Giants had 11 total picks, six of which came from trades.

They also acquired quarterback Tyrod Taylor and guard Mark Glowinski in free agency.

Only time can tell if these decisions will help turn the team’s situation around.

The team hasn’t made the playoffs since 2016 and hasn’t won a postseason game since 2011, when it won Super Bowl XLVI.

Speaking of time, the Giants will be heading overseas in five months to play a regular season game.

They could have made the announcement by posting a photo on social media.

However, the franchise chose to reveal the information in style.

The Giants enlisted two-time Super Bowl winner Eli Manning in this short skit to announce their NFL International Series game.

Manning is typing on the computer when Daboll walks in and asks, “Hey Eli, have you got your passport ready for October?”

He showed his passport and commented, “I don’t know where. Why do I need a passport?

The latest image reveals that the Giants will face the Green Bay Packers on October 9 at 9:30 a.m. ET.

The Giants test their mettle against an elite NFC team

The Packers serve as the perfect test to determine if Daboll and Schoen’s efforts are paying off.

Green Bay has been one of the conference’s legitimate contenders, thanks in large part to defending MVP Aaron Rodgers.

But with Davante Adams leaving for the Las Vegas Raiders, Rodgers will have to rely on Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and rookie Christian Watson.

Defeating the Packers would be a huge confidence booster for the Giants.
