There were no dad jokes from Giannis Antetokounmpo after the Milwaukee Bucks narrowly escaped in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Boston Celtics.
But he thought like a father after scoring 42 points in the Bucks’ 103-101 win over the Celtics on Saturday at Fiserv Forum.
The refereeing left a lot to be desired in a rather hectic game. Asked about a call that nearly led to a technical foul on Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer, the Greek Freak chose his words carefully.
Don’t forget that he has a toddler and a baby at home.
“How much does it cost if I say something, a comment about the referee?” asked Antetokounmpo. “Is that $20,000? That’s a lot of money. So I shouldn’t do it. I’ll save my money, I have to pay for diapers.”
Spoken like an MVP.
