‘Get well’ – Bayley sends touching message to injured WWE Superstar

Bayley was sidelined from WWE for nearly a year, but the former Women’s Champion was still available to send her best wishes to Shelton Benjamin.

Benjamin announced earlier in the day that he was injured, although he didn’t give any details. The former member of The Hurt Business shared the news on his Twitter account, leading Bayley to react and send a dark message.

Benjamin is a WWE veteran and returned in 2016 after it was announced that the company was returning to the brand split. Since The Hurt Business’ demise, Benjamin has made rare on-screen appearances and it’s now unclear how long he’ll be sidelined.

Shelton Benjamin announced his injury and WWE status on Twitter earlier today

After wrestling his last WWE match in April, Shelton Benjamin announced his injury on his Twitter account. Benjamin and Cedric Alexander teamed up to take on The Street Profits in a losing effort in the Main Event on April 25.

He joins Bayley on the injured list as the company has seen a number of comebacks in recent months. The veteran didn’t say how long he would be on the sidelines, but noted that he will do everything to make sure he makes his comeback better than he was.

The likes of Lacey Evans and Asuka have returned to boost the women’s division, but Bayley remains on the shelf. The former champion tore her ACL while preparing for Money in the Bank last year and was subsequently unable to compete in the event. She was originally scheduled to face Bianca Belair in an “I Quit” match, but was replaced by the returning Sasha Banks.
