German Open Badminton LIVE, Day 3: India’s fabulous five commuters will all be in action on day three of the ongoing German Open 2022. The Indian contingent got off to a good start winning their first-round games and will be looking to seal further progress when they take to the pitch on Thursday. Kidambi Srikanth vs. Lu Guang Zu
India’s top ace Kidambi Srikanth, seeded 8th in the German Open, beat French world number 39 Brice Leverdez 21-10 13-21 21-7 in 48 minutes. Srikanth looked in good contact as he went from 6-6 to 19-8 in a jiffy and pocketed the opener comfortably. He will now face the Chinese Lu Guang Zu. Lakshya Sen vs. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting
Lakshya Sen put in a superb performance to beat Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen 21-6 22-20. Sen and Ginting have never faced each other in their careers but Lakshya will like his chances with the Indonesian having lost four of his last five games. HS Prannoy vs. Lee Cheuk Yiu
HS Prannoy continued their revival over the past few months with a strong start to the German Open 2022. Prannoy won 21-14, 21-19 against seventh seed Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong in the round of 16. men’s singles final as he did. at the World Championships in Huelva last December. Prannoy lost his only one-on-one encounter against Lee Cheuk Yiu in 2017 in consecutive matches. PV Sindhu vs. Zhang Yi Man
Seventh seed PV Sindhu beat Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan 21-8 21-7 in a lopsided contest to advance her to the second round of the 2022 German Open. Sindhu was at her best and won her 15th victory over the world number one. 11 Thai player.
