Gary Neville speechless over Marko Arnautovic transfer rumors to Manchester United as pundit slams Glazers

The feisty striker, 33, scored 14 goals for Bologna in Serie A last year after spells with West Ham and Chinese port side Shanghai – but a £7.6million offer from United would have been rejected.

“The first thing you do when the phone rings from Manchester United is to reject the offer,” Neville told Sky Sports on Sunday night.

“Because the reality is that you know very well that they lost this game today, they are actually negotiating in a worse position than yesterday and that is a big problem for them.

Asked about Arnautovic, Neville replied “I don’t know…I have no comment to make” before bursting out laughing.

“I have a comment on everything in the world – apart from Manchester United signing Marko Arnautovic today! I have nothing to say.

Neville also took aim at the Glazer family, owners of the Old Trafford giants, after the soft defeat against Brighton which opened their season.

“We are talking about the players – the time has come for the Glazer family to sell the football club,” he said. “The time has come. The snow.”
