Gary Neville hits ‘all-time low’ as Manchester United fan after Liverpool loss and Erik ten Hag told to ‘stay away’ from Red Devils

Gary Neville says it’s the lowest he’s felt in 42 years as a Manchester United fan after their 4-0 thrashing at Liverpool.

The Red Devils were hammered by the Premier League title-chasing Reds, with a brace from Mohamed Salah and goals from Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane sealing the comfortable victory.

It was an utterly miserable night for the despicable Red Devils, who have conceded NINE times in two league games against Liverpool this season.

It could have been a bigger margin of victory, with Jurgen Klopp’s dynamic men spinning the rings around hapless Man United throughout.

Neville ripped through the players during the game, calling the team a ‘waste of space’.

And his mood showed no signs of improving after the game, as Neville continued to criticize the way the club are run, calling it ‘fundamentally broken’.

He told Sky Sports: “It was a sobering night, we expected it, all Manchester United fans expected it. I don’t think a single Manchester United fan has been here this evening with any hope. But you’re still trying to build yourself up in that half hour before kick-off, could anything happen? But nothing, this team has nothing.

“I can’t explain how we went from what was marginally promising at the end of last season to finishing second and I know we lost the Europa League final, which was bad, to the point where we are. today, which was a whole. -low time in my 42 years watching Manchester United.

“I’ve never seen it as bad as this.”

Neville added: “What the club have been doing for the last ten years… Jurgen Klopp apparently had an interview or conversation with Manchester United, he called it ‘Disneyland’ when he spoke to Ed Woodward.

“What Manchester United did is they brought in players with piano intros like Alexis Sanchez or #Pogback and all the big par lava around him, Cristiano Ronaldo, they also brought the player up to- top of football club manager.

“You go to Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City and the manager is the main figure in the football club.

“Manchester United have undermined managers over the last ten years by elevating players to godlike status and the players haven’t played.

“There are a lot of things the players could have done better, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could have done at the start of the season, maybe Ralf Rangnick could have done better but fundamentally the club are broken on and off the pitch.

“The stadium is collapsing, the training ground now falls into the background compared to other training grounds. The owners are taking £25m from the club when it actually needs investment and defines poorly culture from above.

It looks like Erik ten Hag will be tasked with cleaning up the Man United mess from next season but the Dutchman has been urged by talkSPORT’s Micky Gray to get out while he still can.

Gray said during an analysis for talkSPORT: “Once upon a time it was the greatest battle in the Premier League. Now there is a chasm and a gap between the two teams like I have never seen before.

Ten Hag has an almighty job in his hands

“Things you can say about Manchester United at the end of this game – no fight, no heart, where is the desire? Full of quitters.

“Stay away, Erik Ten Hag. You don’t want to come to this club right now with the team of players they have right now.
