The Brazilian duo are gearing up for the next campaign after Jesus joined the Gunners from Manchester City for £45m.
He told the Podpah podcast: “Martinelli – he’s an animal. An animal! He never gets tired!
“[My new teammates] at the club are so hungry that they desperately want this club to win a Premier League after 20 years. This kind of challenge really excites me to be here.
“I wanted a new challenge. I want to play every game, that’s why I came here. I compare this Arsenal team with the City team when I arrived there. There are a lot of young players.
Jesus has left Premier League champions City very interested in signing but believes north London is the next perfect destination for his career.
The striker added: “I am a very reflective person. I thought of [leaving City] for one or two years. The best decision I could have made was to be here at Arsenal.
“I needed to play football again with a smile on my face. My mother watched our game [against Orlando City] and called me to tell me: “I see that you are different, you play happy!”, I was moved to hear that.
“Everyone at the club has received me very well. I’m two or three years older than most players here, but they see me as a very experienced player. I like that. I like to be a role model for other players.
