Anthony Joshua endorsed Ben Whittaker as a “future champion” in a social media post.
AJ, 32, is currently keeping himself updated as he awaits confirmation of his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight title rematch with Oleksandr Usyk which is set to take place in July.

In the meantime, he has set his sights on future boxing stars, with Whittaker in particular catching his eye.
The 24-year-old is an amateur boxer from the West Midlands who announced himself to the world stage as part of Great Britain’s Olympic team for the 2020 Games in Tokyo when he won silver in the category men’s light-heavyweights.
He won many fans for his celebration and later claimed he wanted to be ‘Mayor of Wolverhampton’.
Since then, Whittaker has continued to impress in the amateur ranks, catching the eye of Joshua who couldn’t resist sharing his impressive form on his Instagram Story.
During a practice session, Whittaker can be seen dodging a left handed jab before catching his opponent with a vicious right hook that left his opponent shaken.

Joshua is a big fan of Whittaker, with the Olympic silver medalist describing AJ as one of his main supporters.
