The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a new series for the growth of women’s cricket in the country. The Hong Kong women will travel to the United Arab Emirates for a four-game series in the shortest game format.
The series begins on Wednesday April 27 and ends on Saturday April 30. The four T20Is will be played at the Malek Cricket Ground in the United Arab Emirates. The first three matches are night encounters, while the last is scheduled as a daytime match.
The United Arab Emirates enter this series having beaten Hong Kong in their previous two T20I matches. The Hong Kong women’s first defeat came in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier against the United Arab Emirates Women by 21 points. In the second battle, the United Arab Emirates once again emerged victorious from the same tournament by 11 points.
Chaya Mughal will captain the UAE women’s team while Kary Chan will captain the Hong Kong women’s team in the four-match series. Both parties will be eager to make an impression on the show.
