Fox News mocked after desperately trying to resuscitate its war over Christmas

Halloween is over two weeks away and Thanksgiving six weeks away, but Fox News has moved the timeline for its annual War on Christmas campaign forward, giving its latest attacks on President Joe Biden a very early seasonal twist.

The Recount set some of the network’s coverage on the right to music more appropriate for a Halloween cooler:

The off-season Christmas cries continued into the evening with Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham making references to “Grinch” on their shows and putting Biden as Dr. Seuss’ character. They claimed Biden was threatening to steal Christmas due to global supply chain issues linked to the coronavirus pandemic, which could lead to holiday shortages in key items like toys as well as higher prices.

Obviously, the network missed the “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” post. Although the Grinch steals all of the Whos’ gifts, Christmas is still coming – the lesson being that the holidays aren’t about the merchandise.

“Maybe Christmas,” he thought to himself, “didn’t come from a store,” a line from the Dr. Seuss classic read as the Grinch has his heart-changing realization.

In the Fox News version, Christmas is all about whatever is available in stores.

On Wednesday, Biden announced measures to increase capacity at key ports and called on major retailers, such as Walmart and Target, to help ease the supply crunch and get goods to consumers’ shelves. vacation. Fox News entered War Mode over Christmas, however.

The Conservative Network’s messaging was in tune with Republicans as the House GOP tweeted a similar attack on Biden on Wednesday, with a clumsy typo:

Twitter users mocked both Fox News and the Republican Party for their war on Christmas rhetoric months before the actual holidays:
