FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (AP) – Former reality TV star Josh Duggar was jailed in northwest Arkansas on Thursday after his arrest by federal authorities. The charges he might face were unclear.
Duggar was held at the Washington County Jail after being arrested in the afternoon by U.S. Marshals, according to the prison’s website. The Marshals Department referred questions to the U.S. District Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, who declined to comment.
Duggar, 33, starred in TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” until he was taken off the network in 2015 following revelations that Duggar assaulted four of his sisters and a babysitter. Duggar’s parents said he confessed to the hugs and apologized.
Duggar had previously apologized for a porn addiction and for cheating on his wife.
