Former Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel told ‘America Reports’ on Tuesday that the United States must accelerate aid to Ukraine to defeat Russia because the global implications of Putin’s aggression extend to the beyond the two opposing countries.

CHUCK HAGEL: I think the most immediate thing we can do, we have to do, is we have to stop this war. And this can in no way be considered a victory for Putin. That means the Ukrainians have to go on the offensive and we have to help them do that. We have to improve the weaponry, we have to improve everything we do, including the sanctions, increasingly severe sanctions to really strangle Putin.
It’s bigger than Ukraine. It is representative of the instability of what is happening in the world, of the danger of the world. China monitors this and links this to Taiwan. You have North Korea, Iran, and different parts of the world. We cannot let this stand.
