Former Bridgetown Bulldogs star Markquese Bell was on the Dallas Cowboys’ initial roster of 53 players.
Bell is a safety, who played college football at Florida A&M University, went undrafted and signed with the Cowboys. He had a strong senior season, with 95 tackles, five tackles for loss, and was named to the All-SWAC first team.
He was highlighted for his touch-to-touch speed and ability to tackle in the open field.
He also made a nice interception of a tilted ball in the Cowboys’ preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks that caught the eye of quarterback Dak Prescott, who essentially sealed his roster spot with Dallas.
In fact, there’s a chance Bell will see some significant playing time with the Cowboys.
