Former Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scores again to add to Barcelona’s incredible run since Xavi took over at Camp Nou

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored again as Barcelona cruised to a final 3-2 win at Levante on Sunday night.

Aubameyang was the star of the show for Xavi’s Blaugrana and scored in the 59th minute to help his side to victory.

Despite failing to find the net in his last two matches, the Gabon international was included in the starting line-up for the game at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia and proved why Xavi was right to choose it.

His goal came from his only shot in the high scoring affair, while accounting for 25 touches and 15 assists with 80% passing accuracy.

By scoring against Levante, the former Arsenal striker took his tally to ten goals in 14 games for the Catalan club, with the 32-year-old continuing to prove his Arsenal doubters wrong.

Aubameyang joined Barcelona in January after ending a four-year stint in north London, where he scored 92 goals in 163 games and won the FA Cup in 2020.

“I’m very proud, especially because my family is Spanish on my mother’s side,” he said after arriving at Camp Nou.

“I’m really proud and happy to be here. My main goal is to help the team and give everything I can to bring the team back to the Champions League and stuff like that.

The victory over Levante allowed Barca to extend their La Liga winning streak to seven games.

The hosts took the lead in the 52nd minute, however, when Jose Luis Morales converted from the spot.

They then missed a penalty moments later when Marc-Andre ter Stegen saved from Roger Marti.

Aubameyang headed home from an Ousmane Dembele cross seven minutes later to put Barca level.

Pedri then put the visitors ahead in the 63rd minute, before Levante won a third penalty which Gonzalo Melero converted to make it 2-2.

Experienced striker Luuk de Jong had the last laugh after being brought on the bench in the 84th minute as a replacement for Aubameyang.

The 31-year-old Dutchman dug deep in injury time to give Barcelona the win.
