Florida State offensive lineman Brady Scott left Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday after an unforgettable night.
Of course, he may remember Florida State’s 20-17 loss to FCS Jacksonville State at home to fall to 0-2 this season. He may also remember not only that the Seminoles lost at home, but rather to whom they lost and how they lost.

But there was something even more memorable that happened in Tallahassee that night that will invariably stay with Scott for much longer – he proposed to his longtime girlfriend after the game (she said yes ).

Scott’s decision quickly gained attention, including a little contempt and criticism, which Scott ultimately took in stride.
However, not everyone disputed Scott’s proposal.

In fact, a lot of people have come to his defense as well, pointing out the big picture and how more meaningful the proposal will be than a football game.
