Florida man spotted with Nancy Pelosi’s desk in riot at Capitol Hill pleads guilty

WASHINGTON (AP) – A Florida man pictured carrying a lectern belonging to the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the United States Capitol during the Jan.6 uprising pleaded guilty to his role in the ‘riot.

Court records show Adam Johnson, 36, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court in Washington to one count of entering or staying in a restricted building.

Sentencing guidelines in the plea deal provide for up to six months in prison for the Parrish man, but a judge will make a final decision at a hearing scheduled for February 25.

A plea deal recommends Johnson pay $ 500 in restitution for his share of the damages. Prosecutors said the riot caused nearly $ 1.5 million in damage to the United States Capitol.
