A first responder is hailed as a hero after rescuing a man from a burning vehicle in Township of Wheeler Tuesday.
On April 13, Keith Hunt and his partner Chloe Allen were transferring a patient to Gratiot County when they encountered an accident that happened minutes before their arrival. A man was trapped in an overturned pickup truck that was on fire and was unable to free himself, Mobile Medical Response said.
Hunt managed to extract the man from the burning wreckage. The driver ended up with minor injuries.
“Without Keith he most certainly would have died in the fire,” MMR said.
“In the days when most will take their cell phones to record and broadcast live in their 15 minutes of fame, some will pass on the popularity of doing what they haven’t been asked to do for those to whom they owe nothing. , because that’s what a hero does! Well done Mr. Hunt, ”said St. Louis Police Chief Richard Ramereiz.
