According to the casino, a fire extinguisher unit was being tested and when it was reconnected there was a rupture.
“It happened in an area where there is a lot of equipment. When the rupture occurred, it damaged that area and injured people in that confined area. But part of that wall leading to the main casino also exploded and this caused injuries to some people in the casino, ”said Seminole spokesperson Gary Bitner.
Firefighters treated 20 people on site and transported six people to hospital. By 5 p.m., four people had been treated and released, ”Bitner said.

A customer took a video on his cell phone that showed one of the walls of the casino partially blown up by the explosion.
Hernandez says he thinks he was hit with some of the fiberglass from the wall.
Seminole and Hollywood firefighters as well as the state fire marshal will discover the cause of the explosion.
